We have just launched a new county badge for Midlothian!
Designed in consultation with our membership, following a design competition in 2024, it represents the county of Midlothian with a depiction of the snow-capped Pentland Hills and the oak leaf, which is the official symbol of Midlothian. Each of our Division areas (Castlelaw, Dalhousie, Hawthornden, Melville) is listed and the badge is finished off with the Girlguiding trefoil and the four Girlguiding section icons (for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers).
The badge is 7cm in diameter, embroidered and ready to sew onto camp blankets! It is now available to purchase from our Badge Secretary, Betty.
You can also purchase from the Girlguiding Scotland shop, although the county received more of the purchase price if you buy from the badge secretary - so remember 'Buy from Betty!' if you can!
